What's with the Masks?

The "Comedy" and "Tragedy" masks are our rating system on IJH. However, they aren't meant exactly literally. Think of them more as a thumbs up or thumbs down; things that you like get rated "Comedy" and things you don't get "Tragedy". Rating something, whether it is an article, video, comment, or link, will build your Sense of Humor.

The Comedy Mask will add something to your Favorites List. Tragedy will bury content that you feel isn't up to snuff on IJH.

What is this "Sense of Humor" business?

It's Just Humor is based around a user experience system that we like to call the Sense of Humor. Each user can earn points for performing actions on IJH, such as commenting on a video or rating an article. As their score grows, so too does there Sense of Humor.

Having a better Sense of Humor is useful in several ways. First of all, your content ratings are weighted by how good your Sense of Humor is; someone as funny as Dogbert is going to have more say than someone only as funny as the Chewbacca Defence. The ranks are somewhat subjective, so don't bother complaining about their order. We are still tweaking the scoring system as well, so bear with us.

It's Just Humor is owned by It's Just Media. Our goal is to offer a resource of humor-related things, like funny videos, articles, and links. In addition to this, we are working on a system for reviewing, rating, and finding information about the biggest comedians in showbiz.
